High School Senior Photo Session in Stillwater Oklahoma

I was thrilled when my friend from back in my high school days said she wanted me to photograph her senior daughter! Lyric is like her mom in so many ways... it was like I went back in time to hang out with my friend in 9th grade again (except we weren't causing trouble like we did back in the day:)

We had planned outfits and some possible locations but since Lyric lives in Stillwater, Oklahoma I did not know what to expect. I kind of love the challenge of that though and I think we found some perfect spots for Lyric.

We started downtown with a more urban outfit. I love playing with shadows, colors, and textures which are usually pretty easy to find in an urban environment.

Not all images work in black and white but I couldn't decide which I liked best in these images. I love the turquoise color but those black and whites are hard to beat.

We went back to the house to have some lunch and to change clothes. While there I saw this pretty nature area beside the house. Sometimes you don't have to go far to find the perfect spot.

Lyric is a phenomenal softball player and plans to play in college so of course we had to go to her second home.

The last place was a botanical garden. It was an unseasonably warm Fall and I am so glad. I mean, just look at this beautiful light and Lyric looks radiant in these colors she chose with the flowers that were still in bloom.

I loved every minute I got to spend with Lyric and Marcie! Fortunately, I will get to spend more time with them because they have two more sessions coming up during her senior year!

Here in the Midwest we can do sessions outdoors just about year-round. And if the weather isn't cooperating we can find your favorite coffee shop, bookstore, or any number of indoor areas to shoot in, including my studio!
